The BenBen Project
A Red Sea reef meeting a natural desert shoreline

Restoration for the land you own.

We work with resorts, developers and private landowners to restore the reefs, shorelines and native landscapes of their properties.

From the first assessment to long-term care, we aim to make ecological restoration a practical investment in the places people own and use.

Three services

Three ecosystems. One connected coast.

The reef, shoreline and land are connected. What happens to one affects the others.

Our services address these environments individually or together, allowing each property to invest in the restoration work most suited to its needs.

Service 01 — Coral reef restoration

Bring life back to the reef.

We plan to grow coral from locally collected spawn, raise it in controlled nursery conditions and return it to suitable degraded reef habitats.

Every project begins with an assessment of the reef and the pressures affecting it. We then develop a restoration plan, carry out planting where conditions are suitable, and monitor the site over time.

For resorts and coastal properties, healthy reefs can also enrich the visitor experience through responsible snorkelling, marine education and opportunities to learn about restoration.

Service 02 — Mangrove and shoreline restoration

Restore the living shoreline.

Mangroves and native coastal plants are part of the natural life of the Red Sea.

We plan to propagate native mangroves and shoreline vegetation for restoration in habitats where they naturally belong.

Suitable mangrove habitats provide shelter for juvenile fish, help stabilise shorelines and support the wider coastal ecosystem.

For landowners, restored shorelines can also create opportunities for nature walks, environmental education and more meaningful connections between visitors and the coast.

Service 03 — Native landscaping

Grounds that belong here.

Much of the southern Red Sea's developed landscape depends on imported lawns, palms and ornamental plants that require continuous irrigation and maintenance.

We want to offer another approach.

By reintroducing native trees, shrubs and groundcover adapted to the local climate, properties can create landscapes that need less water and upkeep once established, while providing habitat for birds and other native wildlife.

Our approach works with the existing land rather than attempting to replace it.

How we work

From first assessment to lasting recovery.

  1. 01

    Assess

We study the property, its existing ecosystems and the pressures affecting them.

  2. 02

    Design

We develop a restoration plan suited to the land, shoreline or reef.

  3. 03

    Restore

We grow suitable native stock and carry out restoration with minimal disturbance.

  4. 04

    Maintain

We monitor and care for the site over time, adapting the work as the ecosystem develops.

Your property can be part of the coast's recovery.
